Thanks to Community Futures & Chatelech

The Early Childhood Development Planning Table sends out a million thanks to the wonderful folks at our local Community Futures for putting on the popular Career Fair at Chatelech Secondary School.

The annual Career Fair is an important event and an excellent example of community partnerships.

Our members are thankful for the opportunity presented by the Career Fair to show case the field of Child and Youth Care as a field of employment open to local young adults. There are a number of employers in the field who struggle to find staff in order to provide valuable programs for the children and youth on the Sunshine Coast. We very much appreciate the chance to talk to potential trainees.

We wholeheartedly support the continuation of this event and the consideration of its possible expansion to Elphinstone Secondary School.

Thanks again to Community Futures, to Chatelech, and to all the participating employers for creating a win-win-win for our community.
